21. rehab tech, PT aide 영어 (미국 물리치료실에서 매일 쓰는 영어)

미국 물리치료실에서 매일 쓰는 말을 적어 보았다. 처음에 간단한 말도 어떻게 해야 할지 몰라서 버벅대던 시절이 있었는데. 하루에 50-70명 정도 환자를 일주일 내내 상대하다 보니 5개월 차인 지금은 많이 익숙해졌다.

나이 드신 분들도 많고, 운동에 익숙하지 않은 환자들이 대부분이라서 조금이라도 더 쉽고 깔끔하게 설명하는데 초점을 두고, 지금도 계속 배우는 중이다.

운동 시작

운동 설명

Scoot down/forward/backward
Lean forward/over
sit up for me/have a seat
lie down on your back/stomach/side
Bend your knee
Push down
Squeeze the ball/shoulder blade
Lift up/raise
Straight your leg
Bring your both foot up here
Put one foot in front of the other
Rest your calf/feet on the ball

You can switch side
You can do your pelvic tilt next

스몰 토크, 자세한 운동 설명, 가끔 물어보는 질문들 외에 매일 이 정도 말을 반복해서 쓰는 것 같다. 초반에 영어와 처음 일해보는 환경이라 긴장했던게 엊그제 같은데, 지금 편하게 일하는 내 모습이 참 기적같다.
